- Demonstrating short-duration, drought tolerant direct seeded paddy cultivars in upland and medium duration cultivars in medium and lowlands.
- Demonstrating application of lime and rock-phosphate in aman paddy to increase the productivity of aman paddy.
- Popularizing and strengthening IPM in rice based farm production system.
- Developing mass-production and utilization of indigenous natural enemies in IPM.
- Integrated management of crop-soil-moisture-plant nutrients combining organic manures, bio-fertilizers, liming materials, indigenous plant products, bio-regulators and chemical fertilizers.
- Developing low-cost mass production facilities for different bio-fertilizers in the project area.

Activity 2. Interventions related to water harvesting through watershed.
- Activities related to water harvesting through watershed methods involving civil engineering and community mobilisation.
- Installing small rainwater harvesting structure model, ‘Jalkund’ (50-100 m3 water storage capacity), in each land unit.

Activity 3. Interventions related to productivity enhancement of livestock.
- Selection, improvement, multiplication and distribution of superior germplasm adopting Open Nuclear Breeding System (ONBS).
- Nutrition management with locally available feeds and fodder / concentrate mixture and area spec mineral supplement.
- Popularizing protocol for livestock health management and prevention of diseases.

Activity 4. Interventions related to productivity enhancement of fisheries.
- Enhancement of productive efficiency of fishponds, production of quality seed through hypophysation, Efficient management to obtain higher survival rate in nursery rearing and stock ponds. Remedial measures against disease and parasites and proper inputs like feed and fertilizers to augment the production.
- Development of integrated fish farming system with water and soil quality management emphasizing locally available and economically important fish species.
- Introduction of fisheries in ‘Jalkund’ and other water harvesting structures.

Activity 5. Interventions related to productivity enhancement of cotton and cashew as a second crop after aman paddy.
- Growing cotton in fallow land: covering both organically cultivated and chemically cultivated ones.
- Intercropping in cashew plantation, rejuvenation of old orchards and development of cashew nursery.

Activity 6. Commercial seed production of paddy, maize, mustard, lentil, jute and wheat.
- Agro-techniques of seed production and low-cost processing by small and marginal farmers covering paddy, maize, mustard, lentil, jute and wheat (At present seed production is practiced by large farmers with better access to technology and market).

- Popularizing dry flower production technology by women through decentralized mode of production.
- Growing medicinal plants (Vinca, Kakmachi, Kalmegh & Hena) on commercial basis.
- Micro-Entrepreneurship development through production of vermicompost by women in homestead or community land.
- Micro-Entrepreneurship development in homestead land through commercial nursery.
